He was sort of pressed into service all those years ago, but he actually only lived here for a short time. Julie has lived here on and off for the entire ten years we have been here, although increasingly less so. :(anne mancinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08020711868764662709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3906349739814240782.post-91487911748034422392010-11-16T14:22:24.674-08:002010-11-16T14:22:24.674-08:00I saw pics of your plants, trees, and flowers and ...I saw pics of your plants, trees, and flowers and they are lovely. You're so lucky that your kids care about where you live and what you plant. Our kids couldn't care less about it.Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05510020399701949172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3906349739814240782.post-52759068007872285532010-11-11T13:09:25.419-08:002010-11-11T13:09:25.419-08:00i loved this post! we really all worked hard on a...i loved this post! we really all worked hard on all the plants there, picking them, tending them, and most importantly, enjoying them every year. you guys got much more into perennials at this house than you had in elyria, and i'm glad! we kept that gardening journal going, in fits and starts, for a few years--it might be useful to take final stock of how things were as you left. maybe i'll print this post and stick it in there, in fact!

i kind of feel like the gardening was done, you know? it's beautiful, and i love the plants, but they don't want much more from us now and you've really run out of yard (especially in back). won't it be wonderful to have a clean slate? :) i can't wait, since i haven't got a yard of my own to play with!!jamancihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03154799606442336133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3906349739814240782.post-87749903378967435412010-11-10T18:55:52.772-08:002010-11-10T18:55:52.772-08:00Sigh. Turns out saying goodbye and leaving things you've built and shaped is pretty hard. We transformed that yard in Kent and made it something we were proud of. We'll do the same thing in Maryland, only we'll plant different things, more of them, and sooner. I can't wait to dig in!Benhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07232444223492532562noreply@blogger.com
